Illustrative photo ICT Access & Use - Report on the Benchmark Survey
Recent research into ICT Access and Use (DfEE, Jan 2001) showed that 44% of people claim to have used the Internet; but that usage of ICT (excluding mobile phones) is relatively low for lone parents, people who have difficulties with basic skills and disabled groups. It also showed that younger people make more use of the Internet with 70% of 16 - 34s claiming to have used the Internet compared to 14% of those aged 55 and over. [more]
